Bruin Bulletin

Week of December 16, 2002

PILLAR: Responsibility Responsible people do what they are supposed to do. They work hard and try to do their best. Responsible people think about how their actions will affect others.

Thank you to everyone who donated toys for the Children's Home and blankets for the Homeless Shelter. Both organizations will truly appreciate your efforts. Congratulations to Ms. Phillips' sixth grade class for collecting two-thirds of the over 100 blankets donated! This is the same class which always wins the spirit award on Fridays for having the highest percentage of students wearing our school colors of blue and white. This class not only shows great spirit but also great caring by working so hard on the blanket drive!

Congratulations to the following students who have exhibited a pillar of good character and whose name was drawn for the monthly "Character Counts" luncheon with the principal and vice principal: Nicole Saling, Nubia Garcia, Antonio Joseph, Corey Lee, Justin Drollinger and Elysia Ellerbe.

Please know that all articles of clothing left in the "Lost & Found" will be donated to charity after December 20, 2002.
