    Hello!  I am Mrs. Noonkester and I would like to welcome you to my web site.  I teach English Honors 1, English 1, and Journalism (The Buffalo Newspaper). I have organized the left-hand column by content area and I hope this website will be useful for students in my classes to be able to access class information such as:

    I began teaching in 1999 and started working at Manteca High in 2006, and I am excited to be here.  I have taught English 1, English Honors 1, English 2, AVID 1, 2, 3 and Journalism.  At West High, where I taught previously, I was very involved in the campus with activities like English Dept. Co-chairwoman, union representative, Strategic Learning Coach for cross-curricular reading strategies, and School Site Council representative, among many other committees and roles.

    I graduated from Sonoma State University, where I was a reporter in the college newspaper, senior editor of the literary magazine, and treasurer of my women's fraternity, Alpha Gamma Delta.  I majored in English with a journalism emphasis, and took minor classes in German.
