Campus Security
In 1997 the Manteca Police Department and the Manteca Unified School District applied for, and received a federal grant to place a police officer in each one of the three high schools in the district. The School Resource Officer or "SRO" is not a new program for schools, it has been widely used in the southern and eastern states.
The program is designed to have the police officer available on the spot for both students and staff.
The officer will be able to answer any question that a student may have and assist with any problem.
The SRO office is located in the attendance office next to the dean of students office. Feel free to stop by any time and talk to the officer.
