Graduation FAQ

Q: When and where is the graduation?

A: Weston Ranch Graduation will be held at Weston Ranch football field on May 24th 2018. Graduation will begin at 7pm.

Q: How much are tickets?

A: Admission will be by ticket only. Each student will be given 10 tickets for their family and friends. Additional tickets are available for purchase for $5 in the Office. Parents and students will be asked to sign the Weston Ranch High “Class of 2018 Senior Contract" so that everyone will know what is expected (a sample copy is on the back for your records).  Tickets will not be issued without a signed contract on record.  Your student will receive an original contract, with this letter, on May 21st.

Q: is there going to be graduation practice?

A:Yes, Seniors are required to show up at 7am on May 24th for a mandatory practice we will be meeting in the cafeteria.

Q: Do any rules still apply to Seniors?

A: All school rules and policies continue to be in effect for the last part of your senior's high school year, including regular attendance and behavior rules and policies.  Please be advised that if your senior fails to serve consequences, such as Saturday School, they will be subject to suspension.  Two suspensions or a five-day suspension during a nine week period will make any senior ineligible for senior activities, including the graduation ceremony. This is in accordance with MUSD Board Policy 5127 and no exceptions for any student will be made.

Q: Can I bring mylar ballons?

A: No, Musd board policy prohibits anyone from entering our stadium with Mylar balloons. If mylar balloons are brought to the gate you will be asked to return them to your car.

Q: What should my student wear for graduation?

A: Young men are expected to wear collard shirts, slacks and dress shoes to the graduation. No athletic shoes, flip flops, or canvas shoes will be accepted. Young women should wear dresses or skirts/slacks. We recommend that young women wear shoes with low heels due to the fact they will have a long walk to the football field.

Q: Does my student need to clear their obligations first?

A: yes, Students must return all books, tablets with accessories, clean out lockers, pay any fees, and serve all of their detention time by graduation practice which is on May 24th at 7am.  We can only accept cash or money orders.  Seniors will be allowed to participate in the ceremony only if all of the clearance processes are met.  If we can be of any assistance to you, please feel free to call us at (209) 983-6245.
