Conversational Spanish for the Workplace

This class is designed for native English speakers who wish to learn conversational Spanish to better communicate in the workplace with coworkers and clients. Students will learn basic words and phrases and practice their speaking and pronunciation skills while engaged in discussion, conversations, and role play.

Intro to Forklift Safety and Operations

Increase your employability! Hundreds of new warehousing jobs are available and the demand for qualified trained operators in our area has risen sharply. Applicants must be 18, possess a valid CDL or ID card and pass the final evaluation to earn a certificate. Classes are held in partnership with JM Equipment.

Intro Basic Forklift Operations:  3/2, 4/6, 5/4 8:00am-12:30pm ($125)

 

NCLB Paraprofessional Certification:

A paraprofessional is an employee of a local education agency who provides instructional   support  services under the direct supervision of a qualifying  teacher. To qualify as a paraprofessional, the individual must  complete at least two years of college, possess minimally an AA degree or demonstrate competency to assist teachers in the instruction of reading, writing, and math through a formal state or local academic assessment commonly called NCLB Test.

This assessment meets that requirement. Successful candidates will receive an NCLB Qualifying Certification. A study guide is available to those who register for the assessment.

NCLB Test: 2/4, 3/4, 4/1, 5/6, 5/20 2:00pm-5:00pm ($40)

 

Timed Typing Certification

Need an official typing certificate? Individuals completing timed typing tests will receive a typing certificate verifying their typing speed and errors.  Tests are available every Friday from 1:00- 4:00 pm or by appointment Monday-Thursday. Individuals needing to brush up on their skills are welcome to register for the Keyboarding Basics class.  Class fees includes timed typing tests  and one certificate. A valid photo ID is  required of all test takers.
