Brain Teaser
How much dirt would be in a hole 6 feet deep and 6 feet wide that has been dug with a square edged shovel?
 
 
Answer: None! No matter how big a hole is, it's still a hole: the absence of dirt.


Clubs

Band and Choir
Band and Choir students who would like to travel to Washington DC in 2010, see Mr. Hammarstrom or Mrs. Viss ASAP. There is a small deposit due immediately to hold a seat on that trip.  There are still about 20 seats available for this springs trip to Disneyland.

Anime Club
Meeting Tue. Dec. 2nd after school in room 2 for about one hour.

Link Crew
There will be a short meeting on Tue. Dec. 2nd in room 77. We will be planning and discussing the upcoming Def Cram study session. Please attend!

Science Club
There will be a Christmas party in room 52 on Wed. Dec. 3rd.

Saturday School
The next Saturday School will be held on December 6th from 8 to 12.  Doors will be locked at 8, so do not be late. Dress code is enforced, along with no electronic items or any other disruptive devices. Phones are to be turned off. Please bring school work or a book to read.

Star Cards
Students can earn up to five cards based on the following criteria from the 2008 STAR results, Score advanced, score proficient and any improvement. Students can use their cards to, clear 15 minutes of detention, apply 1 hour towards a Saturday School (Vice Principals only), homework/P.E. make-up/1 day late pass and 10 minute early lunch release on designated STAR Fridays.

Can Food Drive
FHA is having a can food drive for the month of November, bring can or boxed foods to room 35, 54 & 59.

Senior Hall of Fame, Club Pictures
On Friday, Dec. 5th the senior class, senior hall of fame, and club pictures will be taken. Seniors are to report to the gym following first period/second brunch. Leadership and Peer Resource pictures will be taken during their class period.
As another option, you can take your own picture and submit it to us, however all pictures must be received by Dec. 10th.

Is your parent a teacher? This scholarship is for you. Applications are in the Counseling Center.
