September 14-18th is Early Dismissal for Goal Setting Conferences

Next week, all students in grades K-8 are on early dismissal schedule (12:00pm) for goal setting conferences between parent/guardian and teacher.

You will receive communication from your child’s teacher with specific information to your goal setting conference.

The Goal Setting Conference provides an opportunity to establish relationships between student, teacher, and parents/guardians based on feedback and support. Goal setting helps students take ownership of their own learning. These conferences differ from traditional parent-teacher conferences, which only allow for discussion after teaching and learning has taken place.

  • What is MAP?

Measure of Academic Progress® is a state aligned computer-adaptive test that provides Manteca Unified teachers with information that can be used to meet individual student needs based on data to improve learning. If your child answers a question correctly, the next question is more challenging. If they answer incorrectly, the next one is easier. This type of diagnostic tool challenges top performers without overwhelming students whose skills are below grade level.
