Community Outreach Team

  • Our overall purpose is to implement strategic initiatives intended to support and enhance the work of Manteca Unified School District. Our team oversees the creative, innovative, and high caliber educational settings and initiatives. The Community Outreach team implements and sustains community relations, outreach, and print/media publications as well as offer leadership on all comprehensive communication services and strategies for the District under direct supervision of the Superintendent, Dr. Clark Burke. The community outreach team develops, executes, supervises, and maintains comprehensive and wide-ranging internal and external emergency and non-emergency communications—centered on the Board of Education vision for our District.

It is the Community Outreach team that is directly responsible for public relations with media outlets, MUSD families, and community stakeholders (i.e. City and county administrators, local non-profit organization leaders, religious leaders, youth organizational leaders, etc.). We maximize awareness through the power of social media, our website, our mobile application, monthly and annual publications of The MARK HighlightsWhat’s the Word? staff newsletter, and various mass communication tools. Additionally, we implement a crisis communication plan in the event of an emergency.

We strive for excellence in delivery and measure our results closely.
