What has changed with high school start and end times?
Posted by:Due to Senate Bill 328, high school 1st period classes cannot start earlier than 8:30 AM. Manteca Unified School District will work within the parameters of the law while addressing the local needs of students to reach grade level standards, feel safe, and achieve individual success.
Comprehensive High Schools (East Union, Lathrop, Manteca, Sierra, Weston Ranch)
Regular Day Bell Schedule (M, T, Th, F):
- Start time = 8:40 AM (1st period)
- End time = 3:32 PM (4th period)
Late Start Bell Schedule (Wednesdays):
- Start time = 9:40 AM (1st period)
- End time = 3:32 PM (4th period)
School Minimum Day Bell Schedule:
- Start time = 8:40 AM (1st period)
- End time = 1:36 PM (4th period)

What opportunities/resources will be available to students before and after school?
Posted by:MUSD will continue to offer breakfast and 0 period classes prior to the start of the school day. Before/after school programming such as Give Every Child A Chance (GECAC), Kids' Club (City of Lathrop) and Kids' Zone (City of Manteca) may be at your school site or in your community.

I have a student who receives transportation services per his/her IEP, will this service change?
Posted by:No, the transportation department will adjust their routing to serve student populations as required by law and with the most need, such as McKinney-Vento (homeless), foster, and student populations receiving special education services.
