MUSD families, we’re excited to announce the launch of Manteca Unified’s new communication platform, ParentSquare, this Fall 2026!

What is ParentSquare?

ParentSquare is a one-stop communication platform that brings classroom messages, school announcements, newsletters, and district-wide communication into a single place.

We know strong student outcomes are built through true partnership and with ParentSquare, we are making it easier than ever to stay engaged. By strengthening our communication systems, we can reduce messaging fatigue and deliver the most relevant information in the way you prefer.

We are excited to use this new tool so our schools, teachers, and families can stay consistently connected, and parents can be true partners in their child's learning.

When can I begin to use ParentSquare?

ParentSquare start dates will vary by school site. Please stay tuned for communication from your principal about when ParentSquare will be active at your school.

Once your school is ready to launch ParentSquare, you’ll receive all school and classroom messages in one place, translated into your preferred language—whether by email, text, app, or web.

You’ll also be able to:

Receive messages from the school and district via phone, email, text, or app notification
Choose to receive information as it comes or all at once with a daily digest at 6pm
Communicate in your preferred language
Comment on school postings to engage with your school community
Direct message teachers, staff, and other parents
Participate in group messages from schools and teachers
Fill out forms and permission slips
Sign up for conferences and volunteer opportunities
View calendar items and photos from your school

If you have children at multiple sites within the district, you will only need to log in to ParentSquare once. Once all your schools are using ParentSquare, you can easily toggle between schools to view updates in the app, and no extra steps are needed for you to recieve text/email communications.

Register/Login

Find the email from your school and click to get started, or:
Go to parentsquare.com/signin (or install the ParentSquare app) and follow the prompts to sign up.
Use Google single sign-on, your email, or your phone number to set up your account. Your email/phone number must match the contact details in our database!
If your contact details aren’t recognized, contact your school to confirm your contact information. After your information is updated in the database, the new contact details will appear in ParentSquare after the next daily sync, and you will be able to create an account.

Note: After you are added to ParentSquare by your school, you will receive school communications even if you have not registered your account. However, you will need to register your account in order to participate in two-way communications and to access any confidential student-specific documents or forms.

Notification Settings

ParentSquare allows users to customize their notifications based on notification type and delivery method for each school.

Everything schools need to reach every family from ParentSquare

The Instant setting will send all post notifications in real-time.
The Digest setting will send all posts for the day in one single digest at the end of the day (recommended)

Direct messages, alerts, and time-sensitive posts will be delivered instantly. You can also choose to turn off notifications (excluding emergency alerts and notices).

Language Settings

If you are using the web browser: On your home page, click your name and select “My Account.” Then, select “Language Settings.”
If you are using the mobile app: From your home screen, click the triple bar in the top left corner. Click on “Account,” then “Preferences,” then “Language.”
Select your preferred language and save.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to download the app to get communication from my school?

I already have a ParentSquare account with another district or as a staff member, do I need to make a new one?

No, you do not need to create separate ParentSquare accounts if you are a staff member or a parent at another district. Your account information for both should populate, and you can switch between roles, or schools.

If you have more than one ParentSquare account (for example, because your name, email, or phone number didn’t match), you can combine them into one.

What to do:

Log in to your main ParentSquare account.
Click your name in upper right and select My Account.
Click Combine with another account.
If other accounts match your verified email(s) or phone(s), click Combine Accounts.
If the account you want doesn’t show up, click Combine Another Account and sign in with that account.
Choose the name you want to use, then click Combine Accounts.

Now you’ll see all your students in one account, and you can log in using any of your email addresses or phone numbers.

You can’t combine a staff account with a parent account, but you can easily switch between them.

What to do:

Log in to either your staff or parent account.
Click your name in the top right to see your account(s).
Under Switch Account, click +Add another account.
Log in to your other account.
Now you can switch between accounts anytime by clicking your name and choosing the one you want.

What does "digest" mean in notification settings?

In ParentSquare, Digest is a notification setting that compiles all non-urgent posts and messages from the day into a single daily summary, which is typically sent in the evening (around 6:00 p.m.) rather than pinging you constantly.

Even if you set your account to "Digest," you will never miss urgent or emergency alerts (like safety lockdowns). Time-sensitive alerts override your digest settings to ensure you get the information immediately.

You can change or check your settings at any time on the ParentSquare app or website by going to My Account > Notification Settings.
