Summer EBT Benefits (Sun Bucks)

Support your family with extra grocery benefits this summer.

SUN Bucks, officially known as Summer EBT, is a new food assistance program that provides $120 per eligible child to help buy groceries during the summer when school is out.

This benefit is not automatic. Families who believe they qualify must complete a separate, optional application through Q Parent Connection during the Online Re-Enrollment process. Applications must be complete by September 2, 2025.

To ensure program integrity, a sample of approved UBA applications will be verified.  If selected, you will be notified and asked to provide documentation. Failure to provide documentation will result in a denial or termination of benefits.

Why is this form important?

Even if your student qualifies for free or reduced-price meals during the school year, you will still need to complete the Summer EBT form to receive SUN Bucks.

Completing the application can help your family:

  • Buy groceries at stores that accept EBT
  • Receive benefits without impacting immigration status
  • Get support during the summer when school meals aren’t available

How do you Complete the Summer EBT Application?

Complete the Summer EBT Benefits Application in your Q Parent Connection account by clicking the “Online Re-Enrollment” button in the top right-hand corner and then clicking the “Summer EBT Benefits Application” link under the “Household Forms to Complete” section.
