Student Board Members

Annette DuBois | East Union High School
Annette DuBois is a senior at East Union High School entering her fourth year in Leadership, currently serving as ASB Treasurer and her second year as a Student Board Member.
During her time at East Union, Annette has been actively involved in various sports like volleyball and track and field, while also pursuing her passion for dance and music outside of school. She has served as a member of the School Site Council, as a WASC student member, and a PBIS student member. Earlier this year, Annette was granted the amazing opportunity to attend two leadership camps to further refine her skills, including the RYLA camp, sponsored by Manteca Rotary, and ALA California Girls’ State, sponsored by the local American Legion Auxiliary unit.
Academically, Annette is committed to excellence, balancing multiple AP classes with her involvement in various school clubs and leadership events on and off campus. She is dedicated to numerous clubs on campus, including Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), California Scholarship Federation (CSF), Club Hope, and College Bound. In her spare time, she enjoys playing the piano, traveling, and volunteering in the community.
Annette is deeply honored for the opportunity to serve as an MUSD Student Board Member for a second year and is eager to represent the East Union student body and give them a voice.

Joshua Ramirez | Lathrop High School
Joshua Ramirez is a senior at Lathrop High School. Entering his fourth year in Leadership, serving as ASB President and Student Board Member with previous roles as Freshman and Sophomore Class president alongside with Publicity Commissioner!
During Josh’s time at Lathrop High School, he’s been heavily involved in clubs including HYLC (Hispanic Youth Leadership Concil) and Interact. Josh won Defensive Player of the year in 2022 on his JV Volleyball team and continued to play for the Varsity Boys Volleyball Team, while balancing academics!
Josh always has a smile on his face, welcoming and being friendly to his peers and staff. Living with his day-to-day motto “Don’t try to be the best in the world. Try to be the best for the world.”
Josh is honored and ecstatic to represent Lathrop High School as their 2025-2026 Student Board Member!

Emilia Barojas| Manteca High School
Emilia Barojas is currently a Senior at Manteca high, entering her second year in leadership as a helper following her previous role as junior class secretary.
While at Manteca High she has played Two years of soccer and been a member of the student site council. She is a part of many clubs such as black student union, college prep club and women of worth. She is very committed to making sure everyone has fun around campus and that school isn’t a boring thing students should be upset about. She is very happy that to be able to represent my school and be the voice for my fellow peers all around.

Sanampreet singh | Sierra High School
Sanampreet Singh is a senior at Sierra High School, where he is entering his fourth year in the Leadership program. He is honored to return as a Student Board Member and continue representing the voices of his peers across the district.
At Sierra, Sanampreet remains actively involved in several organizations, including the California Scholarship Federation (CSF), School Site Council, College Bound, National Honor Society (NHS), and Key Club. Outside of school, he volunteers at events throughout the community and pursues his passion for serving others through working at Stanford Health Care.
Having spent his entire educational journey in Manteca Unified, beginning at Brock Elliott Elementary, Sanampreet is deeply committed to giving back to the district that shaped him. He is passionate about student advocacy and leadership, and he looks forward to another year of working alongside the Board, staff, and fellow students to foster a meaningful and inclusive high school experience for all. He is motivated by the incredible experience he’s been fortunate to have, and driven to help create that same sense of belonging and opportunity for others.

Janessa Arredondo-Avila | Weston Ranch High School
Janessa Arredondo-Avila is a Senior at Weston Ranch High School currently serving as Senior Class President and MUSD Student Board Member. She is excited to start the year and making this year better than the last.
Throughout her academic year Janessa has been involved in Leadership since Freshman year and has served as President for two years. As well as Link Crew and bringing new opportunities to the incoming first year students. Alongside her leadership roles she has been involved with sports such as playing soccer for freshman and sophomore year. Outside of school she enjoys volunteering at hospitals and finding new opportunities to serve the under served. During her spare time she enjoys traveling with her family and finding new projects and activities she is able to get involved with.
Janessa is highly excited to collaborate with all her peers to find new opportunities for students and augment students experiences. She is truly honored to serve as a Student Board Member during the 2025-2026 school year.
