Lola Alvarez | East Union High School

Lola Alvarez is a Junior at East Union High School. She currently serves as ASB Treasurer and is honored to represent her community as East Union’s Student Board Member.

At East Union, Lola has been involved in volleyball and basketball. Along with sports, she takes multiple AP classes and has created a wellness project focused on students’ mental health. Her education is of high importance to her.

Dedicated to her school, serving as a Student Board Member gives Lola the opportunity to advocate for all students in the Manteca Unified School District. Her goal is to help shape school life to make sure it is a positive and safe experience for everyone.

Zachary Smith | Lathrop High School

Zachary Smith is a Senior at Lathrop High School. Now in his fourth year in Leadership, he is serving as ASB President for the second year in a row, with previous roles as Freshman and Sophomore Class president, and has run Spartan Nation for the past two years.

During his time at Lathrop High, Zachary has been heavily involved in clubs, including serving as the current College Bound President and participating in the California Scholarship Federation. He is a member of the Varsity basketball team and has been playing LHS basketball since his freshman year while balancing academics – maintaining a 4.38 Cumulative GPA last school year.

Zachary always has a smile on his face and is never afraid to stand out or be welcoming to his peers and LHS staff. His day-to-day motto is, “Embarrassment is a mindset; it’s only real if you believe it is.”  He is honored and ecstatic to represent Lathrop High as a Student Board Member this school year!

Annika Burns| Manteca High School

Annika Burns is a Senior at Manteca High School and enjoys being involved on campus and serving her school community. She has been an active member of Leadership for the past two years and currently serves as the Publicity Commissioner. In addition to Leadership, she has played volleyball for two years.

Annika enjoys meeting new people and strives to make others feel included. She values being involved in school activities while maintaining strong academics and demonstrating good citizenship. Staying engaged in her school community has helped her grow both as a student and as a leader.

She is deeply honored to serve as Manteca High’s School Board Member this school year and looks forward to representing the voices of her fellow students, advocating for their needs, and making a positive impact on her school and district throughout her term.

Troylan Calara | Sierra High School

Troylan Calara is a Senior at Sierra High School. He is the school’s ASB President and is honored to now serve as a Student Board Member.
 
At Sierra High School, Troylan joined Leadership during his sophomore year and served as ASB Treasurer in his junior year. He is also a Varsity athlete in Cross Country and Track, and is involved in multiple clubs, serving as President of Interact and API. He earned Lobo Gold status by taking multiple AP Classes. In his free time, Troylan enjoys drawing and writing, as well as doing community service. Looking ahead, he plans to major in Public Health, and he has a strong interest in learning how the district makes decisions and shapes students’ experiences. 


As a Student Board Member, he looks forward to gaining a deeper understanding of how decisions are made for our schools and hopes to contribute to positive growth in our community.

Kalianne Pol-Chhoeun | Weston Ranch High School

Kalianne Pol-Chhoeun, a Junior at Weston Ranch High School, feels privileged to represent Weston Ranch as a Student Board Member. Her entire academic years have been spent as a MUSD student, first attending George Komure Elementary and now Weston Ranch High. She is in her third year in Leadership, serving as ASB Vice President for the 2026-2027 school year.

At Weston Ranch, Kalianne has been heavily involved in various activities, including HOSA (Future Health Professionals), Link Crew, Polynesian Club, golf, and has facilitated many ASB events. When she is not engaged in academic activities, she enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, reading, and working toward her future career as a Nurse Practitioner.

In her role as a Student Board Member, Kalianne is truly honored to work alongside District Board Members, students, and staff. Her goal is to support and serve her community, making sure voices are heard. She will do everything in her power to ensure students get the recognition and change they deserve, making this year even better than the last!
