Modernizations & Updates
Great communities make great schools, and great schools make great communities!
Your contributions play an important role in maintaining safe and secure campuses, improving access, and updating aging facilities across Manteca Unified.
MUSD uses local funding through bond measures and special taxes, such as Mello-Roos, which allows MUSD to invest in the future of local education by modernizing existing campuses and constructing new facilities.
From new playgrounds and roofing to full school modernizations, MUSD spent $30 million last year improving school campuses.

District Wide
Flexible Furniture
The future of classroom furniture is here — modernized furniture that encourages student engagement and collaboration has been installed throughout the district!
In the 2023-24 school year, all TK-8th grade classrooms received dynamic options that allow young students to move while continuing to learn. For older elementary students, classrooms were designed to create shared learning spaces that foster collaboration. This setup encourages students to work in teams, engage in discussions, and solve problems together.
In the 2024-25 school year, modernized furniture that emphasizes small group work was rolled out to standard high school classrooms, such as those that house English, math, history, and some electives. Phase 2 of the high school rollout will feature specialized classrooms such as science labs, art studios, and career technical education spaces.
Playgrounds
Fun is for everyone! MUSD has installed new playgrounds across the district that feature a variety of accessible play elements that cater to all students, regardless of ability.
HVAC Replacements
To provide comfortable and healthy learning environments, MUSD is installing new and more efficient heating, ventilation, and air conditioning units, accessories, and controls at 16 school sites.

Bottle-Filling Stations
