At Manteca Unified, Nutrition Education is about more than serving meals; it’s about supporting student achievement. Through scratch cooking, locally sourced ingredients, and carefully planned menus, our Nutrition Education team helps students arrive ready to learn. Healthy meals not only fuel students but also improve focus, behavior, and attendance, empowering them to reach their full potential. Because when every child has access to nutritious, delicious meals, they’re ready to learn!

Special Education is a service, not a place — and every student deserves to learn, grow, and belong in their school community. Manteca Unified is reshaping how, when, and where students with disabilities are supported alongside their peers. To support this shift, the Special Education Department and Lathrop High School co-led a districtwide professional development event for high school teachers, spotlighting Lathrop’s successful co-teaching and collaborative class model.

Lathrop High School has been recognized as a National Model School for its commitment to innovative teaching practices, collaborative leadership, and creating meaningful opportunities for student and community engagement. This recognition underscores MUSD’s ongoing efforts to empower every learner to achieve through our strategic goals centered on Grade-Level Standards, Safety, and Emerging Students.

Meet the dedicated team behind the scenes—Manteca Unified’s Grounds Department. This video highlights how their work supports clean, safe, and welcoming campuses where students can thrive. Having an in-house grounds team means our district can respond quickly to needs as they arise, reduce costs, and share expertise across school sites. From maintaining high school athletic fields to caring for elementary school play yards, our team ensures every student has a space to learn and play safely.

Our budget is more than a pot of money – it’s a reflection of our values, a blueprint for student success, and a commitment to meeting the diverse needs of every student. Every dollar spent is intentionally aligned with a larger strategy. 

As we finalize details at multiple campuses, there’s a shared sense of excitement. New classrooms, media centers, learning commons, and gymnasiums are nearly ready.
