Preschool Information

Preschool Programs

These programs are offered to MUSD students who reside in Manteca, Lathrop, French Camp, and Weston Ranch.

Children must be age-eligible, meaning the child must turn 3 on or before December 1 of the current year of enrollment. Children who have their third birthday on or after December 2 of the current school year may be enrolled in State Preschool on or after their third birthday. Age must be verified by documentation such as birth certificate or other State-approved records.

Note: If your child will turn 4 on or before September 1, 2025, they are eligible for Transitional Kindergarten (TK).

All preschool services, except for the special education program, are provided by outside vendors. Please contact the preschool provider directly for more information or to enroll. Income requirements may apply.

Camp Preschool

Camp Preschool provides free part-day preschool programs at sites throughout the district. Contact Camp Preschool for more information.

Kids Academy 

Offering First 5 preschool for eligible (income and age) MUSD students.

MUSD Special Education Preschool

This serves children 3 to 4 years old with assessed developmental delays that impact their ability to learn and play within the typical age-appropriate range. Delays may be in the areas of social, communication, cognition, adaptive, and/or physical development. Full-day or part-day programming is determined by student eligibility and need. Read more here.
