New Student Registration: Kindergarten - 12th Grade

Welcome to MUSD!

We are so happy to have you join our school community.

Registration for the 2025-26 school year will open on January 13, 2025.

If you are enrolling a new student for the 2025-26 school year, we encourage you to register during the early registration window: January 13 - February 28. This early registration period is open to all students, regardless of grade level. By registering as soon as possible, you will have the greatest chance of getting your child a spot at their school of residence.

Please follow the steps below to enroll your child in kindergarten through 12th grade (K-12) for the 2025-26 school year.

Note: If your child will turn 5 years old on or before September 1, 2025, they are eligible for kindergarten. If your child is turning 4 years old on or before September 1, 2025, they are eligible for TK.

Step 1: Find your school

First, use the School Site Locator tool to look up your child’s school of residence. The school of residence is the school assigned to a student based on their home address!

Step 2: Complete Pre-Enrollment in the Parent Portal

Next, access our Parent Portal below to complete your pre-enrollment information and upload required documents.

Documents that must be brought to your registration appointment include:

If you are pre-enrolling your child for Kindergarten or First (1st) Grade, you will be prompted to upload an Oral Health Assessment Form (which confirms the child has been seen by a dentist) (En Espanol) as part of pre-enrollment. To make the registration process faster, please ensure your child’s shots are up to date and the child has been seen by a dentist. If your child has yet to be seen by a dentist, an upcoming appointment card may be uploaded during pre-enrollment.  View a list of required vaccinations (En Espanol).
