School Resource Officers

School Resource Officers (SROs) are sworn law enforcement officers trained especially to work with students.

Our School Resource Officers are an integral part of our emergency preparedness model. They are employed by local police agencies (including the Manteca Police, Lathrop Police, and Stockton Unified School District Police) and work closely with administrators to create a safer environment for both students and staff. Not only do they help to prevent crises, but their primary purpose is to foster positive relationships with students. The SRO program emphasizes education and mentorship, helping students understand law enforcement’s role in the community.
