Description: An after-school Diamond Painting club for kids to be creative and social program where students can interact with peers while improving hand eye coordination, fine motor skills, and promote cognitive development. Diamond painting provides an opportunity for children to practice patience and concentration as they focus on completing intricate designs, one diamond at a time. The coded canvas in diamond painting allows students to learn through patterns and colors by introducing basic pattern recognition and color identification. As they match colors to their corresponding symbols, children engage in the form of visual problem-solving.

The After-School Computer Science Club will provide 3rd–6th grade students with a fun, structured introduction to coding through Code.org’s CS Discoveries program. With mentorship from Junior High students, participants will gain confidence, build relationships, and develop skills that prepare them for the next stage in their educational journey.
