Arts Integration
What if we told you schools that effectively integrate arts into core subjects have shown significant progress in closing the achievement gap for students from low-income backgrounds.
Arts Integration will be piloted in grades 1-3 in five schools in the 24-25 school year: August Knodt, Golden West, French Camp, Mossdale, and Shasta.
Arts integration is an approach to teaching in which students construct and demonstrate understanding through an art form. Students engage in a creative process which connects an art form and another subject area and meets evolving objectives in both.
