Substitutes
Manteca Unified School District maintains a substitute “pool” of employees that may be called to work on an “on-call” “as needed” basis. In addition to substitute teachers, we are also in need of classified substitutes work in a variety of non-teaching positions, such as classroom aides, custodians, school site assistants (yard duty supervisors) and office workers.
To be hired as a sub, you must present fingerprint clearance, negative TB (tuberculosis) test results, your social security card, and you current governemnt issued photo ID.
Teachers
In order to substitute teach for MUSD, you must have a valid teaching credential, valid substitute teaching permit, or qualify for an emergency substitute teaching permit.
Pay Rate: Short Term: $175-185/day | Long Term: $215/day
Classified Staff
Classified sub positions include classroom aides, custodians, school site assistants (yard duty supervisors) and office workers. Most classified substitute assignments are between 4 and 5 hours per day, however, on occasion an 8 hour assignment may be available. As a classified substitutes you may be able to work 4 to 5 days a week depending on the substitute jobs you are willing to work.
Pay Rate: $15.00 - $24.27 per hour depending on position
Procedure Nurses
Substitute procedure nurses must have graduated from an accredited Registered Nurse/Vocational Nurses Educational Program with an AA, diploma, or BSN and must also be a Licensed Registered Nurse or Vocational Nurse in California.
Pay Rate: $24.27 per hour
