Your child's password is the key to unlock their account and files.  Changing the password to something unique will help your child’s account and files to remain safe and secure.

No. While it will be recommended, changing passwords will be completely optional.

Multi-Factor Authentication adds another layer of security for district accounts.  When enabled for your child’s district account, it combines their password with another factor such as an app installed on their personal phone to confirm unfamiliar login attempts. 

If your child forgets their password, please have them ask their teacher to create a technology support request on their behalf.

Your child’s teacher should be able to create a technology support request to receive help with their password and school account. 

If your child receives a suspicious email, they should delete it and make sure not to click on any links. Before deleting, they should also report the message as ‘junk’ or ‘phishing’ within Outlook. 

If your child believes their account has been compromised, they can move forward with the steps to change their password again.  If there are continued concerns, please have your child ask their teacher to create a technology support request on their behalf.
